Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Homeland Security, Global Security and Intelligence, Risk Management or related field.
• Minimum of seven years in a research security role with federal contractor or HE/research setting.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with government agencies (DoD, NIH, NSF, DOE) or EAR/ITAR/compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Develops governance frameworks, policies, and processes for an integrated program.
• Leads efforts to meet certification and statutory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory updates to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Serve as primary institutional contact for research security with sponsors and partners; supervise staff.
• Engage with research community to address issues and mitigate risk.
• Create resources/tools to assess and mitigate risk and conduct periodic risk assessments.
