Job summary

Dow in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Research Scientist to join the Industrial Solutions Energy Platform, focusing on gas treating and carbon capture with opportunities for project leadership and IP development.

You will model processes, perform technoeconomic analyses, and prepare design packages while collaborating with R&D, sales, and marketing. A BS in chemical/related field is required; PhD preferred; 3+ years of experience; upto 10% travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field; PhD preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience; 5+ years preferred.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical process modeling for gas treating plant design using amine and glycol solvents.
• Develop subject matter expertise in gas treating process simulation with ProComp, Aspen, and other tools.
• Perform technoeconomic analysis including capital and operating cost estimation.
• Create process design packages using established engineering practices and guidelines.
• Interface with stakeholders across R&D, Technical Sales & Development, and Marketing.
