Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's School of Civic Leadership seeks a Research Program Coordinator to provide programmatic and administrative support for faculty research and grant-funded initiatives. You will coordinate research programs, partnerships, events and grant activities, and assist PIs in implementing awarded projects.

This exempt, full-time role on UT Main Campus requires a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience coordinating events or programs, with strong

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; related fields accepted.
  • Two years minimum experience coordinating events, programs, or projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting logistics for in-person and virtual events, including scheduling and travel coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with event documentation experience.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate faculty-led and grant-funded research programs and initiatives, including civic education programs, professional development, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Assist principal investigators with program timelines, participants, deliverables, and related activities.
  • Support School research initiatives and special projects involving collaboration with faculty, units, partners, and external organizations.
  • Plan and execute research-related conferences, workshops, seminars, speaker visits, and other grant-supported programming from planning through execution.
  • Manage program logistics such as schedules, registration, facilities, catering, materials, and on-site coordination.
