Job summary

Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences is seeking an experienced post-award administrator to manage a portfolio of faculty-sponsored and non-sponsored research funding. The role ensures compliance with sponsor and university regulations under guidance of senior team members.

The position emphasizes collaboration with offices like OSP, ORAC, and FAS Finance, as well as salary and effort allocation, including supplemental salary, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial reporting applications.
• Experience working with faculty; experience with federal or non-federal sponsors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other offices to effectively manage research portfolios.
• Monitor expenses on funds and ensure compliance with policies.
• Prepare administrative sections of progress reports (Current and Pending support, personnel effort).
• Monitor expenditures and guide PIs on sponsor requirements and proper allocation of expenses.
• Track expenses on sponsored and non-sponsored funding; assist PI in financial planning.
• Prepare interim and final financial reports under guidance of OSP; coordinate with FAS Finance for non-sponsored portfolios.
