Job summary

MSD Malaysia seeks a Summer Intern for the Future Talent Program in the NIRM – RIBE within V&I. This 12-week placement offers hands-on projects in process optimization, AI-enabled tools, and budget execution, designed to boost operational efficiency and accelerate research initiation.

You will map workflows, pilot AI tools, collect data, and present findings to RIBE and NIRM leadership at the Capstone. Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in business, data analytics, MIS, or related fields;

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or master's degree in business, Data Analytics, MIS, Health Informatics, the Sciences, or a related field.
• Understanding of Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or workflow mapping.
• Analytical mindset with data analysis and metric visualization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Strong self-organization and time-management in on-site and hybrid work environments.
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks beginning June 7, 2027, through August 27, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Document, evaluate, and map existing research execution and budget workflows; identify bottlenecks and propose tech-driven improvements.
• Pilot, test, evaluate, or enhance AI-enabled tools and platforms for automating tasks and tracking deliverables.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize operational metrics to measure impact and time savings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders and learn to execute complex study initiatives in a global environment.
• Present results and strategic recommendations to RIBE and NIRM leadership at the Capstone.
