Job summary

Siemens Digital Industries Software in Livonia, MI, is seeking an AI, Automation & Process Improvement Intern for Spring 2027 within the Strategic Student Program. You will identify and implement AI-driven process improvements across sales, partner management, enablement, and operations, working with leaders and SMEs to transform manual tasks into scalable solutions.

You will participate in the full lifecycle from requirements to deployment, gaining hands-on experience with AI tools, dashboards,

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
Comfortable in a hybrid environment (2 days in Livonia, MI office).
Experience with Python, Excel, Power Platform, low-code development tools, or similar technologies.
Strong interest in AI, automation, and process improvement.
Ability to translate business problems into practical solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively while managing projects independently.

Responsibilities

Design and implement productivity improvements using Siemens GPT, Microsoft Copilot, public AI tools, and automation platforms.
Develop solutions using Python, Power Automate, Mendix, Excel, and related technologies.
Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Build prototypes, dashboards, reports, and workflow automations to address business challenges.
Create documentation, training materials, best practices, and reusable prompt libraries.
Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, technical, marketing, channel, and operational teams.
Present project outcomes and recommendations to business leadership.
Project areas can include AI-assisted content generation and research, Sales and partner prospecting automation, Onboarding process automation, Reporting and dashboard development, Data collection and analysis, Knowledge management and process documentation, Business workflow optimization and Copilot and generative AI use case development.
