Job summary

TalentBurst, an Inc 5000 company, seeks an Associate Scientist II in Cambridge, MA for a 12-month contract to contribute to CMC-DS process development. The role involves developing and scaling oligonucleotide synthesis methods and supporting downstream processing with hands-on analytical testing.

You will work with research and process scientists to develop robust processes for Client chemistries while maintaining quality documentation and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of lab experience.
• Experience with analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS) preferred.
• Strong documentation practices and ability to maintain a clean lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Support oligonucleotide synthesis method development, optimization and scale-up.
• Support downstream processing method development.
• Execution of in-process analytical testing.
• Collaborate with researchers and process scientists to develop robust client chemistries.

Associate Scientist II

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a part of the CMC - DS Process Development Group, responsible for the process development to incorporate Client chemistries into our manufacturing platform.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Support oligonucleotide synthesis method development, optimization and scale-up
• Support downstream processing method development
• Execution of in-process analytical testing
• Working with research and process scientists to develop robust processes for Client chemistries

Skills

• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LC-MS etc.). Related hands-on experience is preferred. Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacture process including phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, ultrafiltration etc. is a plus.
• Experience in record-keeping and excellent laboratory documentation practice are required. Strong commitment to high laboratory and scientific standard; ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory work environment; assist in routine lab and equipment maintenance.
• Good communication skills are a must for this position. The successful candidate must be a responsible and proactive individual who is able to work as a team player in a highly dynamic environment with aggressive timelines.

Education

• BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of lab experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
