Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5-8 years of related work experience with 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a research environment.
• Knowledge of grants management, budgeting and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manages Research Administrators and grant specialists; mentors and evaluates performance.
• Oversees submission and monitoring of grant proposals for direct reports and supports preparation.
• Manages budgets for federal and non-federal grants and post-award activities.
• Oversees onboarding/offboarding of faculty; collaborates with staff to ensure smooth transitions.
• Collaborates on salary projections and ensures salary commitments are met.
• Supports the Research Administrative Director on special projects as needed.
• Audits research administrator performance; reports anomalies to leadership.
• Contributes to orientation programs for new faculty and research staff.
• Directs daily work activities and handles employment actions.
