Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a SAP Material Master Data Analyst in a hybrid Minneapolis, MN role. You will support creation, maintenance, and governance of material master data in SAP, researching MPNs and specs, validating data, and coordinating material ID creation.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure accuracy and compliance, with occasional site visits to warehouses or operating sites.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting technical specifications, catalogs, datasheets, equipment documentation, or engineering drawings.
• Experience with materials management, inventory control, warehousing, procurement, maintenance, or supply chain operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Research manufacturer part numbers (MPNs), technical specs, catalogs, and vendor docs to gather material information.
• Create Material ID requests by collecting required data and completing documentation.
• Determine whether existing Material IDs can be used or new records must be created.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and manufacturers to obtain missing info.
• Verify material classifications, attributes, and specs for governance compliance.
• Audit material records, identify duplicates, support data quality projects.
• Maintain documentation and support SAP Material Master and data governance processes.
• Guide on material identification, MPNs, and data standards.

About The Role

We are looking for a SAP Material Master Data Analyst / Specialist to support the creation, maintenance, and governance of material master data within SAP. You will research manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) and gather technical specifications. You will also validate material information and coordinate the creation of material IDs. People use these IDs for purchasing, inventory management, and operational activities.

Reporting to the Manager of Material Master Data Governance, you will work with multiple team members. These team members include Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and manufacturers. Your goal is to ensure material data is accurate, standardized, and compliant with company data governance requirements. This hybrid position supports critical projects across power generation facilities, including power plants, wind farms, and solar facilities. While primarily office-based, we may require occasional visits to warehouses, storerooms, and operating sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $20.00/hour to $25.00/hour.
