Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement and maintain methods, sequences and processes for manufacturing parts and assemblies. You will collaborate with internal teams to estimate costs, set time standards and recommend tooling and process improvements across new and existing product lines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or related field) with 2+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree acceptable.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components, systems and applications.
• Strong understanding of lean techniques and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and make tooling and process recommendations for new or existing product lines.
• Improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.

What you bring to the table:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, a related specialized area or field or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
