What’s the role?

Customer Service is the primary contact for our Eye Care Professionals within the Zeiss network of labs. The team acts as the main liaison between customers, sales, and lab operations, ensuring accurate information exchange to meet customer satisfaction.

Customer Service Representative, entry level

Handles a high volume of calls daily, taking orders and providing updates on order progress. The representative is the customer's brand ambassador, responsible for resolving basic product or service issues through clarification and escalation as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a high volume of incoming calls for order status and order placement.
  2. Performing manual order entry functions.
  3. Providing accurate estimated shipping dates.
  4. Following up on customer requests and issues promptly.
  5. Documenting customer feedback for management.
  6. Following safety standards and reporting concerns.

Qualifications:

  • HSD / GED required
  • 3-5 years proven customer service experience
  • Experience with computers, email, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic keyboarding skills, including 10-key typing
  • Previous optical experience (preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Effective navigation of multiple systems
  • Understanding of order processing
  • Strong communication skills
  • High listening and comprehension skills
  • Customer-oriented with adaptive communication skills
  • Willingness to learn optical skills and knowledge
