As a Customer Service Representative, your primary role is to provide support and an effortless experience to policyholders. You will work with customers regarding insurance questions, policy changes, and billing needs.

This is an entry-level position in our contact center and provides excellent career pathways into our organization, including additional skill-building opportunities. With a detailed roadmap for learning and managers trained to coach and guide your career development, you will be equipped with the right tools to build a long-lasting and evolving professional career.

This role will have a 100% remote work arrangement.

Start Date: July 14, 2025.

Base Salary is $23 per hour with opportunities for growth.

Training Hours

Monday-Friday 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM EST (First 8 weeks mandatory attendance).

Post Training Hours

Monday-Friday 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM EST. Working every other Saturday with Wednesday as a compensatory day.

Responsibilities
  • Promote digital self-service capabilities.
  • Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs, utilizing every touchpoint as an opportunity to build value and The Hartford brand.
  • Assist customers over the phone.
  • Learn insurance products and processes during training.
  • Commit to the training and work schedule.
  • Maintain a dedicated workspace free from distractions during work and training hours.
Qualifications
  • Background in customer service, call center, insurance, retail, restaurant, or related fields.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment while navigating multiple programs.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with empathy for customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptability.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is based on market analysis. Actual pay may vary based on performance, skills, and competencies. The base pay is part of The Hartford’s total compensation, which may include bonuses, incentives, and recognition. The range is $42,560 - $63,840 annually.
