Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Chicago, IL is hiring to join the cash handling team on the casino floor. The role focuses on creating an entertaining guest experience while accurately counting, sorting, and reconciling currency, coins, and chips, under strict internal controls.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, be 21+, possess strong math, customer service, and communication skills, and be able to obtain an Illinois gaming license.

Qualifications

• Six months of money handling experience preferred (preferred)
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays (required)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board (required)

Responsibilities

• Foster an entertaining atmosphere aligned with Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy.
• Promote guest service culture and build long-lasting guest relations.
• Follow policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and company initiatives.
• Collect and count revenue from drop sources per internal controls and guidelines.
• Count and organize currency, coins, coupons, chips, and paperwork from the drop container.
• Store drop boxes securely and transport to cashiers as applicable.
• Load currency counters and reconcile funds; enter counts into software.
• Move boxes and carts to designated areas for transport to casino floor.
• Perform duties related to the Illinois Gaming Board Self-Exclusion Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that embodies Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
• Enthusiastically promote Bally's customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
• Adhere to all policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goals
• Collect and count revenue from various drop sources per the company's internal controls and departmental guidelines
• Count, sort, and organize all currency, coins, coupons, chips, and paperwork from the drop container; strap and hand-stamp money bundles; delivers to cashiers as applicable
• Retrieve drop boxes from the storage area and appropriately store all boxes and carts
• Load currency counters, utilize the counter interface, and collect, sort, and reconcile funds
• Enters count information into applicable software applications
• Load appropriate boxes into carts and pushes and pull carts to designated areas for transportation to the casino floor
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program
• Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation

• Target Salary Range: $24.11/hr
