Job summary

U-Haul in Chicago is hiring a Customer Service Representative to be the face of our service team. You will assist customers with rentals, inspect equipment, and educate customers about our products and services, both inside and outside a U-Haul center.

The role involves using U-Scan technology to manage inventory, moving and connecting trucks, and providing on-the-job training through U-Haul University. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot and check fluids.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Propane filling (certification offered on employment).
• Participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
