Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, in Kennesaw, GA, seeks a Repossession Specialist II to manage the repossession process, document notices, and ensure compliance with laws. Heavy skip-tracing and collaboration with vendors will help reduce losses on powersports and marine products.

The role requires 3 years in consumer/auto finance and familiarity with FDCPA, SCRA, FCRA, and privacy standards; bilingual Spanish is a plus. On-site work with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 3 years of experience in consumer finance, auto finance, powersports finance, or secured lending.
• Knowledge of multi-state repossession laws, FDCPA, SCRA and FCRA.
• Experience with loan servicing, CRM, or collections platforms.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
• Bilingual skills - Spanish (a plus).

Responsabilités

• Assign repossessions, accurately appraise collateral and communicate with repossession vendors to secure collateral.
• Handle impound notices, track collateral location after repossession and handle redemptions.
• Obtain updates, approve fees from repossession vendors and timely act upon them to maximize recovery efforts.
• Locate customers and find new leads using advance skip tracing.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls for past due accounts, while collecting and negotiating payment arrangements to cure delinquency.
• Build solid relationships with vendor(s) that support the repossession process and assist dealers and internal departments.
• Ensure notices such as right to cures, notice of intent to sale and deficiency letters are documented and mailed in a timely manner.
• Prepare account documentation for legal action and manage multiple tasks assigned by management.
• Understand and adhere to company policies and comply with state and federal laws.
• Ensure add-on products (Service/Warranty/GAP) are cancelled timely.
• Provide back-up for other specialists.
• Team may work split shifts and some Saturdays.
