Job summary

Westlake Financial in Seattle is seeking a Regional Asset Manager to oversee repossessed vehicle inventory and related auction vendor relationships, driving net recovery and compliant sale preparation. You will assess vehicles, coordinate reconditioning, and set sale strategies to maximize value.

This role requires strong analytical skills, independent work habits, and effective communication across internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle valuation, reconditioning assessment, and wholesale remarketing channels.
• Understanding of regional automotive pricing trends and market dynamics.
• Ability to work independently under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Flexibility to assimilate procedural changes and adapt to new processes.
• Proficient PC skills and ability to work across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is highly desirable.
• Experience in frame assessment or condition report writing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and manage vendor performance, including adherence to company guidelines and corrective actions.
• Manage regional inventory, including transport status, inspections, grading, reconditioning estimates, sale prep, and approving sale bids.
• Conduct on-site reviews of auction procedures, inventory prep, and sale effectiveness.
• Organize regular vendor status meetings and review scorecards and reporting; coordinate follow-up on deficiencies.
• Negotiate arbitration claims with senior management guidance.
• Identify and execute market arbitrage opportunities.
• Audit auction expenses and announcements.
• Maintain and report travel-related expenses per company policies.
