Job summary

Qualitrol International, based in Charlotte, NC, is a global automation parts reseller and repair facility seeking a repair technician focused on VFD repair and general board-level electronics repair. The role requires hands-on experience with power electronics and a willingness to cross-train across commodities.

You will work closely with seasoned technicians, identify components, perform SMT soldering, and contribute to a collaborative team that upholds the company’s values when serving

Qualifications

• Experience with board-level repair and diagnostics.
• Basic electronics training; EE schooling preferred.
• At least 2 years of board-level repair experience.
• Proficiency in hand soldering surface-mount components; identify components.

Responsibilities

• Repair technician focused on VFD repair and general repair.
• Cross-train with other expert repair technicians to broaden repair experience across commodities.
• Be a flexible team member, assisting where needed as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Repair technician focused initially on VFD repair and general repair
• Cross‑train with other expert repair technicians to broaden repair experience across other commodities
• Be a valuable and flexible part of the team, assisting where needed as the business grows
• Represent the values of the company to customers, vendors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Experience with Allen Bradley Powerflex, Schneider Electric Altivar, Siemens Simondrive preferred
• Basic electronics training/schooling; EE schooling preferred
• At least 2 years of board‑level repair experience
• Highly competent in hand soldering surface‑mount components
• Ability to identify all common electronic components
• Expertise in soldering and desoldering for both through‑hole and surface‑mount
• Experience repairing VFDs, drives, and robotic controls
