Innovative-IDM, LLC in Houston, TX seeks an Electronic Repair Technician to perform board-level repairs of industrial electronics, including AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, and circuit boards.

Requires 3–5 years in repair, ability to identify components, and skilled soldering (THT/SMT). Proficient with Huntron Trackers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters, with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in board/component level repair.
• Identify electronic components.
• Soldering skills incl. through-hole and surface mount.
• Troubleshooting with or without schematics.
• Familiar with Huntron Trackers, Oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Strong hand soldering precision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, and test industrial electronics and controls.
• Work with voltages up to 600VAC and 1000VDC.
• Troubleshoot industrial equipment to device level.
• Repair PCBs to component level.
• Repair and program major drive/inverter brands.
• Stand and lift up to 50lbs.

Do you understand how electronics work? Do you like to troubleshoot and solve problems?

We are looking for an Electronic Repair Technician that can do board level repairs of industrial electronics such as AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, and circuit boards. The individual can also work in a fast-paced organization where "Legendary Service" is the norm and not the exception.

What we are looking for:

• 3-5 years of successful performance in a board/component level repair role and proven adequate ability in the repair department group.
• Ability to identify electronic components.
• Soldering skills, rework of both through hold and surface mount.
• Ability to troubleshoot with or without schematics.
• Familiarity with test equipment including Huntron Trackers, Oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
• Solid grasp of precision hand soldering.
• Strong problem solvers.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Self-motivated and well organized.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, and test industrial electronics and controls, such as AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, and other circuit boards from all manufactures.
• Working with voltages up to 600VAC and 1000VDC.
• Troubleshooting industrial electronic equipment down to the device level.
• Troubleshoot and repair PCB’s to the component level.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and program most major drive/inverter brands.
• Must be able to work standing and lift up to 50lbs.

Experience:

• Previous industrial repair experience with adjustable speed drives, PLC’s and industrial automation products is highly preferred.
• (2) year technical degree (Associates or Trade School), equivalent military, or relevant job experience.
