Job summary

Auction.com is seeking an experienced REO Transaction Operations Manager to guide the end-to-end REO life cycle, coordinate with vendors and clients, and proactively identify trends affecting closings. You will report to the Director of Operations and help ensure timely settlements.

The role requires 3–5 years in real estate closing, title, and mortgage areas, with strong leadership and data analysis skills. A competitive base salary and annual bonus opportunity accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree concentration in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of real estate closing, title, and mortgage experience.
• Proven experience in managing the REO process.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the mortgage industry, including real estate closing, title policies, title resolution, and foreclosures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the entire life cycle of the REO process, ensuring efficient and timely closings.
• Act as a central liaison between direct reports and third‑party vendors/clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, title and escrow companies.
• Proactively identify adverse trends within the REO process and implement corrective steps.
• Assist in strategic planning initiatives to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
• Develop effective strategies to liquidate properties within established timelines.
• Run reports to monitor the effectiveness of contracted relationships.
• Monitor exception reports to ensure adherence to established asset management guidelines.
• Ensure staff performance aligns with department goals and budgeted targets.
• Provide feedback to senior management regarding potential issues impacting established goals.
• Facilitate training and development programs for staff.
• Create, maintain, and analyze data to identify negative trends and implement corrective measures.
• Undertake special projects as needed to enhance operational efficiency.
