Job summary

Burwell Material Handling, based in Baton Rouge, is seeking a Rental Coordinator to support the rental department by coordinating activity, tracking inventory, and delivering excellent service to internal and external customers. If you’re organized and dependable, you’ll thrive in a fast-moving team environment.

Key duties include managing the rental process, preparing agreements, and monitoring inventory while collaborating with branches.

Qualifications

• Experience in rental coordination or customer service is required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Clear and professional communication style.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Self-motivated, dependable, and works well with others.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound phone calls from customers and team members.
• Manage the rental process for the branch—quote equipment, coordinate deliveries and pickups, handle billing, and monitor rental inventory.
• Prepare rental agreements and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist with collection efforts on past-due rental invoices when needed.
• Keep internal teams updated on equipment statuses and completed tasks.
• Track and report KPIs like utilization, dormancy, and fleet rightsizing.
