Job summary

Hogan Transportation Companies in Denver seeks a Rental Manager to oversee sales and operations of our commercial truck rental product line. You will drive business development, manage accounts, and optimize asset performance, while delivering outstanding customer service.

This role offers a base salary of $51k-56k per year plus 15% commission based on performance, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience is preferred but not required.
• 2+ years sales and/or leadership experience is preferred.

Job description

The Rental Manager (RM) position has responsibility for the sales & operational activities of our commercial truck rental product line, including: business development, account management, customer service, asset management, and the branch’s overall product line performance.

*This position pays $51k-56k per year, plus 15% commission earnings based on performance*

As the Rental Manager, you’ll manage a multi-million-dollar fleet, make decisions and create solutions to maximize product line revenue & profitability performance, create an efficient rental operation, provide outstanding service to our customers, pursue new commercial rental accounts, develop sales leads for new contractual product lines (e.g., full service lease, contract maintenance, etc.), and execute the company’s sales & marketing strategies. Our Rental Managers are exposed to many different sales & operations aspects of our business, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. And, our management team provides positive coaching & mentoring to help develop your skill sets for success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages a fleet of trucks and matches availability with customer requirements and needs.
• Ensures decisions and solutions throughout the vehicle rental process maximize product line revenue and profitability performance.
• Ensures the rental operation runs efficiently.
• Interacts with clients and potential clients in-person and on the phone ensuring high-quality service and excellent overall customer experience.
• Arranges for the rental of vehicles, including all necessary paperwork.
• Works with shop personnel, as well as takes ownership and all steps necessary, to ensure trucks are client-ready, on-time.
• Ensures high-quality customer satisfaction and overall positive customer experience.
• Resolves customer complaints to their satisfaction with Hogan policies and procedures.
• Pursues new commercial rental accounts.
• Develops sales leads for new contractual product lines (e.g., full-service lease, contract maintenance, etc.)
• Works with and assists other Hogan sales personnel to maximize branch’s financial performance.
• Executes the company’s sales and marketing strategies.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience (preferred, not required).
• 2+ years sales and/or leadership experience is preferred
• Ability to develop positive business relationships

• A valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol related conviction on your record in the past 3 years (i.e., DUI, DWI, reckless driving, using a cellular device, etc.)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Compensation Package

Salary + Commission/Bonus. Total compensation for a successful Rental Manager typically ranges between $57,000 - $70,000 annually (based on performance).Competitive benefits package (401K, medical & dental benefits, paid time off days, etc.)
