Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Rental Field Service Technician for the new stores in the Capital Region (DC & Baltimore).
The Rental Field Service Technician applies mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs to Caterpillar and allied rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites; applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures; prepares parts requisitions. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Bonus eligibility: Minimum of three years relevant field experience qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience are eligible for a $2,000 bonus. Bonuses are paid in two equal installments at 90 and 180 days of employment.
Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Frequently sit. Capable of lifting/moving up to 70 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
