We are currently offering up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus for experienced Rental Field Technician new hires.
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Rental Field Service Technician for the new stores in the Capital Region (DC & Baltimore). The Rental Field Service Technician applies mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs to Caterpillar and allied rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, determining repair procedures, and preparing parts requisitions.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of three years relevant field experience to qualify for the $5,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience are eligible for a $2,000 bonus. Bonuses are paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days of employment.
Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Frequently sit. Must be able to lift/move up to 70 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
