Sammons Industrial is seeking a Rental Coordinator to manage a busy branch rental operation, ensuring equipment is available, organized, and delivered on time. The role emphasizes owning the details, coordinating drivers and haulers, and communicating clearly with customers to earn their business.

Ideal candidates bring experience in fast-paced rental or equipment operations, a strong customer and sales mindset, and excellent organization and communication skills to support growth and service

• Related experience in branch, rental, equipment, dealership, distribution, or similarly fast-paced operation.
• Strong customer and sales mindset with urgency and problem-solving.
• Excellent organization and communication with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate across teams, and take ownership with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day coordination of rental equipment, including fleet availability, yard organization, rental contracts, equipment movement, deliveries, trucking, maintenance needs, and accurate records.
• Serve as the primary delivery coordinator, working closely with drivers, haulers, technicians, sales representatives, branch leadership, and our Orange, Texas location to keep equipment moving safely and on time.
• Respond to customers with urgency by researching availability, understanding the job behind the request, recommending equipment or alternatives, and providing clear, timely answers.
• Support rental growth by following up on leads, making outbound prospecting calls, building strong customer relationships, processing related invoices and paperwork, and looking for every opportunity to book the right solution.

We’re looking for a Rental Coordinator who understands the pace of a busy branch and takes pride in keeping customers, equipment, and deliveries moving. This is a hands‑on coordination role for someone who knows that in the rental business, every minute matters.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll be at the center of our rental operation, helping manage a busy fleet while making sure customers get the equipment they need, when and where they need it.

You’ll take ownership of the details—from knowing what’s available and organizing the yard to scheduling haulers, coordinating drivers, and keeping our team informed. Just as important, you’ll listen to customers, understand what they’re trying to accomplish, and look for solutions that help us earn their business.

• Related experience working in a branch, rental, equipment, dealership, distribution, or similarly fast-paced operation.
• A strong customer and sales mindset—you ask good questions, understand urgency, follow through, and are motivated to find a solution rather than simply say something isn’t available.
• Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate across teams, and take ownership with minimal supervision.
• Comfort working with and learning systems, including MS Excel.
