Job summary

Vail Resorts Crested Butte is seeking a Rental Associate to deliver exceptional guest service, assist guests with rental equipment, and provide gear for an unforgettable alpine experience. You will work in a fast-paced, team‑oriented retail setting across multiple departments and shift types.

The Winter Seasonal role offers full-time and part-time hours, with a starting wage of $20/hr. Housing may be available; applications accepted through December 15.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry.
• Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops.
• Fit guests with equipment – training provided.
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibilities during the rental, including length of rental and return options.
• Work with teammates to maintain safety standards.
• May include other duties such as cashiering and retail sales.
• Other duties as assigned.

Rental associate team members often work across multiple departments and roles, including: Mountain activities, Retail Rental operations, Food and Beverage support, Ticket sales or scanning, Lift operations, Base area operations.

Hiring for seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. Applications will be accepted until December 15th or until the positions are filled, whichever comes first.
