Job summary

Vail Resorts in the Sacramento area is hiring Ski & Ride Shop Rental Associates for the 2026/2027 winter season. You’ll help guests with rental equipment, provide great service, and work in a fast-paced mountain retail environment.

Starting wage is $20 per hour with full-time and part-time shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends. Housing is not provided. Valid English communication and teamwork are required, and the role offers training and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at a retail shop.
• Fit guests with equipment and train on use.
• Explain rental operation, safety practices, and return options.
• Support Ski and Ride School operations daily setup/teardown.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ski and Ride School Rental Associates are responsible for providing world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience. Rental Associates will also assist with the daily setup and tear down of Ski and Ride School Operations.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops
• Fit guests with equipment - we'll train you!
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
• Assist with Ski and Ride School operations daily set up and tear down
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard
• May include other duties
• Other duties as assigned

The expected pay range is$20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
