Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for winter 2026/27 across Ski School and related roles, offering seasonal positions with a strong starting wage and a host of benefits. You'll join a mountain community with guests from around the world and engage in fast-paced, guest-facing duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment.
  • Fluent in all aspects of the English language.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills with guests and employees.
  • Strong computer skills, typing and data entry (preferred).
  • Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Process daily reservations and sales on resort systems.
  • Set up and tear down indoor facilities with attention to cleanliness.
  • Ensure health-code compliance for facilities and common areas.
  • Maintain a clean facility for high guest flow.
  • Engage with children in activities in indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Follow helmet policy while skiing/riding or assisting lessons.
  • Model safety standards and promote health and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

Ski School Support Staff employees work in a fun, fast‑paced indoor/outdoor environment supporting all functions of ski/snowboard school operations outside of instruction. The role has high guest interaction supporting children’s programming, rental operations, guest check‑in/out, lesson scanning and lesson area lift operations.

Job Specifications
  • Starting wage: $20.00‑$31.00 per hour
  • Employment type: Winter seasonal 2026/2027
  • Shift type: Full time, hours available
  • Minimum age: 18 years or older

Job Responsibilities
  • Daily reservation and sales processing on resort operating systems.
  • Daily set‑up and teardown of indoor facilities, including work areas, with an emphasis on detailing to present a clean, orderly, welcoming area conducive to efficient operation.
  • Understand and comply with stated policies and procedures relevant to health‑code compliance for facility cleanliness, including common areas, toys, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly facility that accommodates daily high‑volume guest flow.
  • Work with small children to facilitate appropriate games and activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Adhere to corporate policy regarding wearing a snow‑sports specific helmet while skiing/riding or assisting lessons, in uniform.
  • Understand, lead and model safety standards within the department for yourself and others; contribute to a culture of health and safety to meet a zero Worker’s Comp safety goal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with a wide variety of guests and employees.
  • Strong computer skills, typing and data entry (preferred).
  • Early childhood care experience (preferred).
  • Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons as necessary (preferred).
  • Successfully pass the background check (required).
