Job summary

Superior Rents in Wichita, KS is hiring a motivated rental associate to deliver outstanding service and help customers select the right equipment for their projects. You will handle equipment preparation, loading, unloading, and light maintenance, ensure accessories are added to contracts, and coordinate deliveries and pickups when needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or service setting.
• Ability to identify equipment and advise customers on proper use.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge of rental equipment.
• Ability to load and unload equipment safely.
• Must follow company policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to every customer.
• Identify equipment use and ensure customers rent appropriate gear.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Include and verify necessary accessories on rental contracts.
• Load/unload equipment carefully and secure loads.
• Deliveries and pickups as directed by management.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment yards.
• Follow attendance and schedule requirements.

Job description

• -Provide excellent customer service to each and every customer with whom you come in contact.
• -Ability to identify equipment's purpose and provide relative information in helping to ensure the customer has rented the proper equipment for their project.
• -Knowledge of routine maintenance and basic trouble-shooting requirements of all rental equipment.
• -Ensure all needed accessories are included, loaded and added to the rental contract prior to leaving the branch.
• -Load/Unload equipment for customers using care to avoid any damage to vehicle or equipment.
• -Properly secure every load, every time per company guidelines .
• -Check equipment in upon return.
• -Clean equipment after each rental. Follow service procedures for each item. Thoroughly test equipment for proper operation. Return equipment to the appropriate rental ready line.
• -At management's direction be available to make deliveries and pick-ups of equipment.
• -Must have knowledge of company policies and all department procedures and follow them at all times.
• -Keep work area clean and orderly, with daily cleaning of the yard, wash rack, front bench, rental storage areas, and drive thru.
• -Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision. always maintaining a strong work ethic. -Be responsible.
• -Attendance is especially important. Deviations from assigned schedule must be approved in advance by the Branch Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• -Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods of time and climb stairs and ladders.
• -Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above shoulder level without assistance and push and pull heavy loads – 50 pound minimum.
• -Must have a clean driving record with valid drivers license required - (CDL a plus).
• -High school education or equivalent industry experience required.
