Job summary

Silicon Valley Mechanical (SVM) is seeking an HR Lead to act as the primary onsite HR partner for the Reno operation. You will work with the VP of Operations and CAO to implement HR strategy, support employee relations, and ensure timely, compliant HR services across office, field, and shop teams.

You will collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Safety, and Legal to coordinate the employee lifecycle, maintain records, and drive performance management while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including lead resources in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Nevada employment law and federal requirements.
• Experience supporting operations and field staff, including unionized workforces.
• Ability to advise managers on employee relations and investigations.
• Owned regional HR needs while collaborating with shared services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day HR function for the Reno operation as onsite partner to leaders and employees.
• Collaborate with CAO and Legal to interpret policies and address complex matters.
• Support employee relations, investigations, grievances, and performance issues.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding, and Safety in a shared services model.
• Ensure compliance with Nevada/federal laws and company policies.
• Maintain HR records, analytics, and key workforce metrics to guide decisions.
