Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Center Underwriter to handle Middle Market and Construction renewal business, delivering expert risk evaluation and streamlined processing. You will manage accounts, maintain strong agency relationships, and support policy services with timely endorsements.

The role emphasizes underwriting discipline, effective communication, and collaboration with multiple internal teams to optimize the portfolio and achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• Completion of AU, CIC, or CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal business with risk selection and pricing within delegated authority.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information to assess exposure to loss.
• Document files with underwriting thought process and rationale.
• Classify and price risk commensurate with exposures and controls.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell UFG coverages.
• Provide excellent service to agency partners with policy services and inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective stakeholder management.
• Assist with portfolio review to meet business objectives.
