Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Center Underwriter to manage Middle Market and Construction renewal business with strong account management and agency partner collaboration.

You will underwrite renewals, analyze exposure, document underwriting thought processes, and collaborate with internal teams to accurately price risk while seeking opportunities to upsell coverages and deliver excellent service to agents and policyholders.

Qualifications

• Risk evaluation and insurance contract knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication and customer service mindset.
• 1-2 years of commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal business for Middle Market and Construction with risk selection, pricing, and account management under delegated authority.
• Develop, analyze, and evaluate information and exposure to loss; document underwriting thought process.
• Classify and price risk commensurate with exposures and controls.
