UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Underwriting Center Underwriter to underwrite Middle Market and Construction renewal business, managing accounts and building strong agency partnerships.

The role emphasizes timely, high-quality underwriting and mentorship within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include risk evaluation, pricing, and ensuring contract integrity while supporting portfolio growth and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience preferred.
• AU, CIC, or CPCU designation preferred (education requirement).
• Strong knowledge of underwriting processes and risk assessment.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites renewal and new business; manages Middle Market and Construction portfolios.
• Deploys effective account management and maintains relationships with agency partners.
• Document underwriting thought process and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and coach teammates; provide guidance on underwriting strategy.
• Collaborate with internal groups to optimize stakeholder management.
• Assist with portfolio analysis and escalation resolution as needed.
