Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern to join our Renewables team in Colorado. You will assist in design and development for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects, working under experienced professionals.

You'll gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production, structural foundation analysis, and permit documentation, while learning regulatory standards in the renewable energy sector and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineers on real-world

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
Experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D, structural analysis, steel/concrete design, and geotechnical engineering is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork; able to work full-time during Summer 2027 and possibly through the school year.

Responsibilities

Assist in design and preparation of development and construction plans for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple projects.
Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production.
Learn and apply structural foundation analysis, design, and techniques.
Support preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation.
Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards in renewable energy structural design.
Perform engineering calculations and assist in preparing technical drawings; may assist in field data collection.
