Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern to join our Renewables team, supporting the design and development of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. This internship offers hands-on engineering design experience under the close guidance of experienced professionals.

You will gain exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production, structural foundation analysis, and preparation of design deliverables, with mentoring and real-world project involvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D, structural analysis, steel/concrete design, and geotechnical engineering is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team.
• Must be able to work full-time during Summer 2027 and have U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and preparation of development and construction plans for utility-scale solar and BESS renewable energy projects.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects.
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production.
• Learn and apply structural foundation analysis, design, and techniques.
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation.
• Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to structural design in the renewable energy sector.
• Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings.
• May assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments, depending on project needs.
