Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern to join our Renewables team, supporting the design and development of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This internship provides hands-on engineering design under experienced professionals, with detailed instruction and clear expectations to contribute to real-world energy projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D, structural analysis, steel/concrete design, and geotechnical engineering.
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027.
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and preparation of development and construction plans for utility-scale solar and BESS renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects.
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D plan production.
• Learn and apply structural foundation analysis, design, and techniques.
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation.
• Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to structural design in the renewable energy sector.
• Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings.
• May assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments, depending on project needs.
