Job summary

Ulteig is seeking Civil Engineer Interns to join our Renewables team, supporting the design and development of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This internship offers hands-on experience under the close guidance of experienced professionals, with detailed instruction and clear expectations to contribute to real-world projects that support the energy transition.

You'll gain practical experience applying classroom knowledge to renewable energy civil design,

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering with at least two years of coursework completed by Summer 2027.
• Experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and preparation of development and construction plans for large-scale wind, solar, and BESS renewable energy projects.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects.
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production.
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation.
• Participate in the development of permitting applications for local, state, and federal review.
• Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to civil design in the renewable energy sector.
• Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings.
• May assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments, depending on project needs.
