Job summary

Ulteig is seeking Civil Engineer Interns to join our Renewables team, supporting the design and development of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects. This internship offers hands-on experience in engineering design under the guidance of experienced professionals.

You will gain exposure to permitting, regulatory frameworks, and project lifecycles while contributing to real-world renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering with at least two years of coursework completed by Summer 2027.
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027.
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and preparation of development and construction plans for large-scale wind, solar, and BESS renewable energy projects
• Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians across disciplines on multiple active projects
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production
• Support the preparation of design deliverables, including plans, reports, and permit documentation
• Participate in the development of permitting applications for local, state, and federal review
• Gain exposure to regulatory frameworks and standards relevant to civil design in the renewable energy sector
• Perform engineering calculations, develop standard details, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings
• May assist in field visits to support data collection or site assessments, depending on project needs
