Job summary

BUILD Renewables is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to lead pursuit and pre-mobilization planning for national utility-scale solar and storage projects. The role involves managing project teams, contracting, risk mitigation and procurement support, with direct client communication during the preconstruction phase.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and at least 3 years of project management or engineering experience. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field.
• 3 years of project management or engineering experience on construction projects.
• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication at managerial level.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning and estimating for renewable energy projects.
• Manage the estimating, engineering and procurement project team.
• Coordinate with vendors, engineering partners and customers during design and pre-bid phases.
• Communicate project risks, schedule impacts and procurement needs to leadership.
