Job summary

Duke Energy Renewables is seeking Renewables Technicians for our Raleigh region, supporting inverter-based resources at multiple sites in NC. The role includes operations rounds, LOTO compliance, SCADA and electrical maintenance, and startup work for new sites.

Ideal candidates have technical degrees and experience with electrical systems, high voltage concepts, and field commissioning. Travel up to 50% across NC is required, with a focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate degree; HS diploma with related experience accepted.
• Experience reading electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to travel up to 50% regionally across NC and adjacent areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational rounds and LOTO tasks.
• Perform SCADA, telecomm, inverter, and battery system maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and record keeping for site equipment.
• Lead start-up activities for new site commissioning and integration.
