Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Renewables Engineer to lead the design and technical deliverables for utility-scale wind, solar, battery and related projects. You will act as the primary engineering contact across development, design, construction, testing and operation, ensuring compliance with Ameren standards.

Hybrid work arrangement applies; a BS in engineering and 5+ years of experience in large-scale energy projects are required, with preference for renewable or inverter-based generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university required. Electrical, mechanical, civil or industrial disciplines preferred but other relevant disciplines will be considered with pertinent experience.
• Five or more years of experience required. Experience in large scale construction projects for power generation, distribution and transmission infrastructure, manufacturing, or similar relevant experience preferred.
• Utility-scale renewable or inverter-based generation engineering experience preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering large renewable and inverter-based generation projects from development through construction and operation.
• Coordinate interconnection applications, energy estimates, submittals, RFIs, testing, and NERC compliance.
• Develop and maintain scopes of work and specifications for design, installation and testing of renewables and storage.
• Lead due diligence including technology evaluation, risk identification, design review, equipment assessments and acquisition support.
• Lead procurement support, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and operational support of major equipment (transformers, inverters, storage, MV systems).
• Review project designs and documents from engineers and contractors for compliance with specs and standards.
• Work with other internal engineering teams to ensure quality of deliverables.
• Perform site walkdowns during construction to ensure accurate implementation.
