Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Renewables Engineer to lead the specification and design of utility-scale renewable and inverter-based generation and storage projects. The role covers development through construction, testing and operation with a focus on safety, compliance and collaboration across teams.

You will review interconnection applications, energy estimates and design submittals, while guiding due diligence, procurement, testing and commissioning of major equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Five or more years of experience in large scale construction projects for power generation, distribution and transmission.
• Experience in utility-scale renewable or inverter-based generation engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution and delivery of large renewable and inverter-based generation projects from development through design, construction, testing and closeout.
• Act as main engineering point of contact and coordinate interconnection applications, energy production estimates and design submittals.
• Develop and maintain scopes of work and specifications for design, installation and testing of renewables.
• Serve as technical lead for due diligence, including evaluation, risk identification and design review.
• Lead procurement support, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and operational support of major equipment.
• Review design/documents for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure quality of deliverables and site walkdowns during construction.
• Lead efforts with inverter-based energy center operations for performance and maintenance.
