Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a Renewables Engineer to lead the specification, design, and delivery of utility-scale renewable and inverter-based generation and storage projects. You will serve as the technical lead on project teams, coordinating interconnection applications, energy estimates, submittals, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.

The role requires a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited) and at least five years of experience in large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Five+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale renewable or inverter-based generation projects preferred.
• EIT is a plus; PE license beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of renewable and inverter-based generation and storage projects from development through operation.
• Coordinate interconnection reviews, energy production estimates, submittals, and testing reports.
• Develop scopes of work and specifications for design, installation, and testing.
• Provide technical due diligence, risk assessment, and equipment evaluations.
• Lead procurement support, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and operational support.
• Review designs for compliance with Ameren standards and industry norms.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure deliverable quality.
• Perform site walkdowns during construction to verify implementation.
• Support inverter-based energy center operations and major equipment replacements.
