Job summary

Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc is seeking a Project Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to support renewable energy projects from our Mid-Atlantic region or Richmond office. You will perform site civil, land development, stormwater, and utility designs to advance solar and other renewables.

You will prepare permit applications, present at hearings, and work in a multidisciplinary team to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality work.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required. MS is preferred.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• PE certification is preferred.
• Experience with Hydro CAD and other stormwater modeling software.
• Strong skill set with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational/time management skills are required.
• Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.
• Experience on renewable energy projects a plus.
• Possess high ethical standards and committed to teamwork, respect, and integrity.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs and specifications for renewable energy development projects.
• Prepare and submit permit applications for project development and represent clients.
• Present at public hearings to support land use permit applications.
• Coordinate multiple disciplines and manage multiple projects in a team environment.
