Job summary

Taylor Root Dusseldorf seeks a Counsel to support the development, financing, acquisition, construction, operation, and disposition of utility-scale renewable energy projects across North America. You will work on corporate, transactional, regulatory, and project development matters, partnering with leadership to structure and negotiate renewables transactions.

Required: JD or equivalent, bar admission in the U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D., LL.B., or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state or Canadian province.
• Minimum 3 years of law firm and/or in-house legal experience.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations, drafting, and legal review of commercial agreements and strategic transactions.
• Support acquisitions, divestitures, project sales, joint ventures, and partnership arrangements.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate structuring, governance, and risk management matters.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal strategy for complex business initiatives.
• Support project debt and equity financing transactions.
• Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and strategic investments.
