Job summary

Nordex Group seeks a Commercial Project Manager to secure financial health of projects and drive profitability from handover to completion. You will own the project’s financial profile, forecast, cash collection, and reporting, collaborating with the Project Manager and Cost Owners to optimize performance.

The role requires 3–5 years in finance with strong Excel skills, an accounting/finance degree, and an MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
• MBA strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of business finance experience with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex.
• Ability to identify areas of financial risk, inform management, and develop contingency plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills.
• Strong computer literacy to monitor performance and tools.
• Experience with JD Edwards platform is a plus.
• Thrive in a changing environment with diverse challenges.
• Strong writing and verbal communication, capable of concise operational reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Positive and professional attitude with leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for the Project's financial profile and performance.
• Track and explain revenue, cost, and margin changes throughout project execution, from forecast to actuals.
• Maintain the Project Report with forecast, actuals, risks and opportunities.
• Track and analyze project costs and revenue recognition by progress.
• Prepare the monthly forecast proposal for the Project Manager and Cost Owners.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and profitability.
• Track and explain monthly forecast changes.
• Identify and communicate project risks and opportunities.
• Plan, invoice, and collect cash from customers in coordination with PM.
• Process guarantees and payment securities under the project.
• Act as Cost Owner for all commercial/financial cost items and interface between Finance and Project Team.
• Consolidate and report Project CM and exposure from risks and opportunities.
• Analyze actuals and PO to estimate cost-to-complete with Cost Owners and PM.
• Review, challenge, and approve project figures before submission.
• Coordinate with accounting to ensure accuracy of reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
