Job summary

energyRe in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Director of Engineering in coordinating the design and technical development of renewable energy projects, mainly utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. This role will work closely with utility companies, EPCs, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate is an early-career engineer with strong technical aptitude and interest

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in renewable energy or power generation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track engineering deliverables and submittals using PM software.
• Review EPC contractor deliverables for compliance with specs.
• Coordinate design review meetings and document discussions and actions.
• Support grid interconnection studies and data management with utilities.
• Participate in field visits and assist with inspections.
• Analyze data from geotechnical, hydrology, and interconnection studies.
