Job summary

Renewable Energy Developer in Phoenix seeks a Project Engineer – Solar + Energy Storage to support development through construction and operations of utility-scale projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate across development, engineering, procurement, construction, utilities, and executive leadership to deliver technically sound projects while optimizing economics and long-term performance. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 4–12 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 4–12 years of utility-scale solar/energy storage experience.
• Experience across development through operations lifecycle.
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and LGIA/interconnection processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Stable employment history.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support through full project lifecycle.
• Lead technical due diligence for solar and storage projects.
• Develop engineering specifications, one-line diagrams, technical exhibits, and EPC documentation.
• Coordinate engineering activities and design optimization.
• Evaluate alternatives to improve performance and cost.
• Support EPC contractor selection and engineering oversight.
• Coordinate high-voltage equipment procurement and integration.
• Coordinate interconnection activities with utilities and ISOs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
