Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support pre-construction planning for renewable energy and power generation projects. You will coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other stakeholders to develop schedules, budgets, and development plans.

You will work alongside experienced project managers and teams, helping track risks, milestones, and deliverables while traveling to project sites and client locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in project management, construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and client locations.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with pre-construction planning and execution for renewable energy and power generation projects.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, scopes of work, and development plans.
• Coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
• Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
• Assist with reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
• Help develop bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
• Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Assist with identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
• Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision-support materials for clients and leadership.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
