Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a seasoned Project Scheduler in the Phoenix, AZ area. This role partners with project managers, construction teams, and clients to keep renewable energy and infrastructure projects on schedule.

The candidate will develop detailed schedules with Primavera P6, track progress against baseline, and identify risks early. On-site collaboration, travel, and strong CPM knowledge are essential for success in this busy, field-driven environment.

Qualifications

5+ years in project scheduling/controls or construction scheduling.
Experience with renewable energy, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Understanding CPM scheduling, logic, milestones, and uses in field.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, contractors, and clients to reflect field progress.
Build and maintain schedules using Primavera P6 with activity logic, relationships, milestones, and critical path.
Track progress vs baseline, identify variances, delays, and impacts on milestones.
Analyze critical and near-critical paths to identify risks and mitigation options.
Review contractor schedules to align with project requirements and objectives.
Participate in schedule reviews and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
Develop look-ahead schedules and recovery plans for delayed projects.
Prepare schedule reports and narratives for leadership and clients.
Travel to project sites as needed to validate progress.
