Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive pre‑construction planning for renewable energy and infrastructure projects from Las Vegas, NV, with flexibility for remote work. You will collaborate with developers, owners, utilities, and stakeholders to shape feasibility, cost, and schedules early in projects.

You’ll evaluate strategies for solar PV, battery storage, wind, and other assets, prepare cost models, and guide transitions into construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing or supporting complex energy, infrastructure, or power generation projects.
• Strong understanding of pre‑construction lifecycle, including feasibility, interconnection, permitting, design, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction planning.
• Experience working with developers, utilities, EPCs, and owners to advance projects.
• Proven ability to develop cost models, schedules, and risk assessments for early‑stage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre‑construction planning for renewable energy, power generation, and related infrastructure projects.
• Support project development, site selection, and due diligence with focus on feasibility and interconnection.
• Develop and evaluate conceptual strategies for solar PV, BESS, wind, and other assets.
• Prepare and validate early‑stage cost models, budgets, and phasing plans.
• Coordinate with utilities, grid operators, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Lead constructability reviews and risk assessments for scope, logistics, and procurement.
• Advise clients on delivery models including EPC, design‑build, and early works.
• Review designs to ensure alignment with goals, constructability, cost, and schedule.
• Develop decision‑support materials and executive briefings.
• Support transition from pre‑construction into construction with scopes and procurement plans.
• Travel as needed to project sites and client locations.
